I had a very long chat with Dr A today. I never thought that doctors actually need help in nurturing their skills. They actually need guidance in developing their careers. But as I was talking with him, I realise Doctors are human as well. It was a casual talk, started with a conversation about the conference he is booked to join this coming Friday. I was amazed to know that even Doctors need to accumulate extra information to boost their confidence in the given field. I had this intuition that Doctors are masters of their own.
Dr A, whom I can not disclosed his full name, have opened up getting help from a Consultant Interview Courses when he was so anxious about this mock interviews and all. He even has mention about this Medical Interview Course which helped him prepare for his interviews. I thought everything ends there, but he said, as a medical professional, a doctor needs to continually learn, update and may sometimes need refresher. Doctors need competence progression, thus Medical Management Courses have helped him a lot. A bit more sharing, he has this passion to teach yet not confident to give it a try. Well, no one can prove something unless one try, I told him so; and I suggested he’d get a programme such Teach the Teacher Course which a good catch to start with. I was a teacher many years back, so a course would likely help him. Well anyway, i had a very long day today. Im so tired and all. Everyone's so busy preparing for the commencement of the Health Surveillance Programme. Yey, OH Programme begins on the 13th Feb. Cant Wait!
