The first time I set foot on the park, my first impression was awe. Yes, I was shocked, amazed, surprised, you name it, my impression was way beyond my expectations. Before I decided to go there, I frequently hear my friends telling me – it was worth it.
The entrance of the park is located at
The first thing your eyes will see is the rainbow-colored tiled floor. It was huge so you can really see the beauty of colors while you’re stepping on it. Lay on it is the building magnificently built with octagons-shapes-covered building. If you will check what’s inside, are the admin/staff offices.
One thing I undeniably proud of, is the statues that stood everywhere – those are really eye-catching and awesomely done. You will see tons and tons of them cos the park have them in every corner and rightful spots.
The huge Philippine eagle statue was amazing. Yes, it’s big that you can even go underneath and you will not be soaked if it’s raining. Next to it is the children’s playground beautifully made with lots and lots of fairy tale characters. If I was still a kid, I would likely spend my whole day playing in there.
One greatest feature of the park is the fountain. When I went there, I saw two or three boys playing with the water. I wasn’t sure if it is allowed but seeing them doing it means, maybe, it’s not prohibited. So those kids had fun playing with the fountain that randomly pouring in and out water. With different colors beneath the tube, it sparkles at night and you will surely like the result.
Aside from those I have mentioned, the part has this huge ground where people can sit freely, and if you want to sit comfortably, the park has those benches on the other side.
The park is more on being a nature lover, with trees, plants, flowers everywhere and running water – you will surely find peace and serenity while sitting or walking.
The park, all in all, is so wonderful. I admired it so much and I became more proud to be a Davaoeños.
I am and was glad I took time to visit.
